Johnny - 07/04/2008 03:34
| "Fun" appears a total of four times in the Discog section, three (!!) times in the Studs n' Sisters text (two "lot of fun"'s and a plain garden-variety "fun") and once in the "Essential Rockers" text (1 x "lot of fun") Isn't insomnia a wonderful affliction? :| Hope it's all good with you, dude. :D |

Hi Chris! Joana and me are very sorry we could not greet you and chat with you and Antonia the day after the gig... We were having a walk in Blackpool and we came back too late... Anyway,my friend let's keep in touch! All the best & many thanks!!!!! Santi

Paul Hodson - 06/11/2006 12:16
My dear boy, Lovely to see you as ever at Fleetwood, we did it for the kids and the kids rocked!! However, down to business. I have studied your site and have found a total lack of discussion on the subject of spoons. Many have commented concerning your extreme talents as a guitarist, your unique way of of arpeggiating from the dominant key to the augmented 5th in triplet timing but not a mention of spoons!! I take it that this is just an oversight on behalf of yourself and your fans and will be rectified in due course. In the meantime, love as ever, Paul

Tez Durrant - 05/11/2006 20:41

evilfretmelter - 03/05/2006 00:43
You, Kat? A skulker, you say? Tut tut. Hmmm, y'know that new guitar I mentioned just down there? Did I mention it's a very sexy blue Ibanez that I bought off some lovely bloke called Chris Francis while he was up here contributing his tuppenceworth to the mixing of the new (and THOUROUGHLY ACE !!!) Ten album? No? Oh well, I did. And it's the elephant's essentials. Even with a hack like me playing it... Aaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahaha! Sorry, I'll stop it now. Johnny

Kat - 29/04/2006 23:27
I'll be there! skulking around...

Kat - 19/04/2006 10:17
damnit!! LONDON!! GIG IN LONDON!!! Do a repeat of that Asia gig, support some prog rockers! This is pure insanity, if every two-bit crappy band are gigging at the bloody Barfly on a Monday, I'm sure Ten can get a gig wherever they choose! *stamps foot*

evilfretmelter - 18/04/2006 21:08
Get in! I've rarely been so chuffed! Get it on yer calendar, me with a big grin on my face, does NOT happen often. :-)

evilfretmelter - 10/04/2006 17:25
Well, it was either a Jem, a Universe 7, or a snazzy Yamaha Pacifica 9 series like Chris'...... Prices scarier than yer gran on acid! Ho hum, back to he drawingboard.

Kat - 10/04/2006 11:13
don't bother with the Jems, EFM, they may rock the house with their coolness but the handle just puts me right off.. :D

evilfretmelter - 09/04/2006 23:25
I've just been pricing up 2nd hand Ibanez Jems and now I want to cry... :-( Anyone got one they want to get rid of? Thought not. Grrrr.

Tod - 06/04/2006 04:37
Hello friends! Really nice place here. I found a lot of interesting stuff all around.

Melissa - 05/04/2006 21:34
I know a chris francis and he is hotter than you. He plays the drums. What if you found a bass player named chris francis and started a chris francis band?

evilfretmelter - 28/03/2006 17:13
Sounds like a plan. Hmm forum, eh? Well, unless Mr. Francis delivers a forum with the upcoming site update, we may well have to build our own. And then we could post humourous piccies and stuff.... Johnny "You shall rue this day... WELL, GO ON, START RUEING!"

Kat - 27/03/2006 14:57
no idea J, I think we should start some sort of forum so we saddos can talk online. Otherwise.. you can message me at calphurnia @ hotmail . com!!

Kat - 19/02/2006 12:37
Wait, you did the bass as well for the album? Tell them to mix it a little louder please!

Craig Green - 23/12/2005 22:02

evilfretmelter - 21/11/2005 12:55
Why so quiet on here? Have all the Francis-ites been abducted for some sort of horrible alien gang-probing experiment?

Santi - 25/10/2005 13:48
Hi Chris!!!!! Here's the ballbreaker from Italy! :-) Thanx again for your kindness...Joana is keeping your pick as a treasure!!! Hope to meet you again soon, all the best! Santi.

Aaagh! My hearing's only just come back after the weekend. For those of you who didn't go, you missed out, big time! Mr. Francis was frighteningly good (as were the rest of Ten) and was kind enough to put up with me talking his ears off for about an hour after the gig Saturday and even gave me one of his beers! You, sir, are a star. Cheers, Johnny Devil2Pay

Kat - 18/10/2005 13:09

Hi Tez. How could I forget, old boy?! Yes, all visit Ten of the Best forthwith!! Good luck with the bairn, my son! I just know the babechild will be well nourished by a steady diet of rockin' tunes. It was great to see everyone on Saturday. Thanks to all who came down, rocked out, drank, talked and gave us gifts and stuff. You are beautiful, beautiful people. We will do it again soon. The Essential Collection is out in November, my record out in January, and the brand new TEN studio album will be out in April!!

Tez Durrant - 16/10/2005 22:07
Hi Chris, don't forget there is also a wonderful unofficial TEN website called TenOfTheBest. Sorry I couldn't make the show in Fleetwood, but my very pregnant partner was in hospital. Cheers Tez

Kat - 14/10/2005 13:01
I want to but I can't :(

evilfretmelter - 13/10/2005 13:31
Anyone making a trip to sunny Fleetwood to see Ten? It's gonna rule. Fact.

Andrew - 01/10/2005 14:54
Hey Chris, I aint visited your site in quite some time now lol. Its coming along now very well. I have just started work on a new song that sounds very influenced by surfing with the alien and sounds v gd. But enough about that. I should be picking my lessons back up after a few months. Keep rocking and showin the world wot you can do !!!

Meg - 07/09/2005 20:27
Hey, the new videos are funkay. Although they aren't really that new now. I just forgot to comment on them when I first saw them. *blah*. I don't think your playing is gay by the way. See ya.

evilfretmelter - 31/08/2005 13:38
It'll be worth it, there's gonna be some pretty good bands on over the course of the two days and it's a good venue, too; the sound is always pro in there. Also, I live in Fleetwood, so for once I'm not gonna have to travel to see one of my favourite bands play!! Bonus!

Kat - 30/08/2005 00:19
yeah, I'm going to definately try and make the one in Lancashire, but it's going to be a stretch!

clint - 29/08/2005 14:32
Oh yeah and Im gonna try my hardest to get me some tittes! Plus I bought my guitar and Im rockin Brazil. They aint never been rocked like this before. tittes.

Clinton - 29/08/2005 14:29
Alrightt so you won some sort of guitar competition back in 2000 get over it what have you done since then. exactly. loving your work. from Clint in Brazil

evilfretmelter - 26/08/2005 13:17
Yeah, sorry about that :( , but sometimes that's all you hear, London this, Lodon that, as though there's no live music scene anywhere else in the country. Apologies. PS: If my info is correct, there is definitely an upcoming Ten gig in the North West, who knows, there might others elsewhere.

Kat - 26/08/2005 11:04
*clutches handbag* oooh! check you out, mr evilfret guy! Of course, if I had my way, they'd be performing in my front living room.. :D

evilfretmelter - 23/08/2005 13:29
London is best for the people living in and around London, perhaps. For those of us stuck "oop north", it's a damn dear do getting to and from London, y'know.

Kat - 16/08/2005 23:43
Joy of joys! I am plannig those days off as I speak :) Although it would be nice if they gigged in London :( London is best.

evilfretmelter - 16/08/2005 13:11
The Ten website is ten - online . com (without the spaces, obv.) and it's quality albeit a bit quiet at the moment. I too am waiting impatiently for a Ten gig, though I hear there's one coming up fairly soon.

Kat - 15/08/2005 11:09
I implore everyone to download that vid, cut to the end and hear the howl of joy/fear. Chris, is there an official Ten website? I'm a huge fan (as you know) and really hope you guys are reconsidering doing another live show (as you know!). Can you give us any more information on the new album? Do you think I should get out more, instead of posting on internet websites? Have I asked too many questions already? Kat over and out.

Chris Francis - 12/08/2005 13:36
Overenthusiastic screams? Well we've always known that nothing excites the ladies quite like a bit of instrumental rock! Babes are powerless to a man who knows his Lydian mode. And as for the country house background, it was added using chroma key. I was actually sitting on an industrial waste site in Slough. And I am ALL ABOUT the doing some gigs, you know that. Anyway, here I go again signing my own damn guestbook. Thanks for the kind words everyone. Keep it here, y'all.

Kat - 11/08/2005 13:46
Hahah, I love the new videos! the thing that "makes" it for me is the overenthusiastic scream at the end from nearby audience :D :D As does the country house background in the "up to speed" clips. Muchly amusing. Chris. Do some gigs, for Christ's sake!

Frank - 08/08/2005 15:18
You don't "suck" and play "gay" hahahaha!! Beautiful tone and great songs as well! You rock big time!

Hello, mate. Funny you should ask about ghosts cry. I heard it was tabbed in one of the Japanese guitar mags, Young Guitar, I think. I never actually saw the transcription but maybe you could track it down. I'd be interested to see it myself. I do certainly plan to add some general tab and video lessons to the site in the future. Cheers!

How about some TAB? Then we can wear our little fingers out trying to play like "the man". Hint: the outro solo from "Even The Ghosts Cry" would be a good 'un... ;->

Joy, a new guestbook for me to fill.. much like my Pampers. But I jest of course (or do I?)... great to see some progress being made by Mr Francis. I'm suprised to see you supported Girlschool last year, we rehearse at the same rehearsal studio! Ah, it's the little thingsthat make it all worthwhile Chris...start doing some more live dates - take the bedroom playing out of the bedroom/glorified shed made into "studio" and put it onstage! PS if you don't, your playing is gay and so is your mum.

Heheh, inspiring evil, that's you Chris. I mean that's defiantly going on the CV 'Messiah - can feed 5000 people with fish and bread on a warm sunny day at the beach while inspiring evil'. If only we were all so lucky. This man's one of the best guitarists in the world today and it's a privilege to be one of his students, I’m sure others have also heard the odd snippet from his up and coming album and without saying too much so Chris doesn’t cut this post. I can assure you no-ones going to be disappointed with it to say the least. Good Luck with it Chris, Take it easy peeps!

On a serious note, my friend lent me a copy of Return to Evermore and the standard of the playing on there rekindled my interest in getting my lead chops back up to speed. Cheers for the inspiration, Sensei.

Hey Chris, thought I'd drop by and say hello. Well I think that you could quite easily distribute equal amounts of fish and bread to a crowd of 5000 on a beach if you tried, as long as it wasn't too hot and you had a fan with you (the one in your cupboard that is). But more to the point, you're a very good guitar teacher! See you next monday.

Jonathan Oliver - 29/04/2005 13:42
I like Chris and everything, he's pretty cool but I think we should hold back before we call him the new "messiah". You can't just go around deifying people, if it worked like that I'd regularly Christify all my heroes but it doesn't so I can't. Actually I've just notice that the name Chris is in Christ so that's quite strange but we really shouldn't jump to conclusion. Before Chris can be claimed Messiah he has to fulfill some basic requirements. Firstly, what are his policies on fish and bread distribution. Could he turn up at a beach packed with, say, 5000 and make sure each and everyone of them received an equal portion of fish and bread? Can he walk on water? Does he have long flowing robes and a beard? Does he have a strange bright aura and a ring about his head. These must first be answered. What we can be assured of, and this has been verifired by an expect team of independent scientists, is that Chris Francis does indeed rock. In fact, if you want to get really scientific about it he register 89.8 on the Angus scale with a receeding 5th of a Richards buoyed up by an 8th of Halen. Anyway, keep me informed on this Christing process. Love to all Dr Jonathan Oliver (BA, PhD, MA DA and PA)

I know what you're up to Francis. You're thinking that 'if I give them a guestbook they'll forget that the album still isn't out - they'll be diverted, confused, the poor lambs'. Frankly this is insulting to our intellegence (although intelligence-wise I can only speak for myself, and yes, it is) But no Francis, your thin ploy has backfired most drastically and I am here to put to you the following question: Where is your new album?! Did you notice how I softened the blow of embarrassment by giving you a clear prompt to publicise said new album? This advanced reverse-psychology-flamesque-yet-positive guestbook technique that I have learnt over the years (I have answered yes to both a & b above) I say again sir, what of the new CD?

Finally! a new messiah has arrived and frankly i say halleluiah! we should all bow to this guitar god. Just pray he doesn't reign hellfire and brimstone on you for not listening.

Wow i just came across this site and i can't believe how much it rules. Mr. Francis is indeed ubiqitous in his guitar playing and i look foward to hearing more stuff from him in the future. I would say more but its past my bed time.
