Hey there. Just a news update to let you know that I'm still at it and that 2008 has undoubtedly been the most creative year of my life. I have been teaching my dear students and writing a lot of songs (nineteen finished and about a further ten in development). I've learned that being without my digital studio (which died at the end of the summer) was initially a frustrating state of affairs, but soon showed itself to be a gift - no software, no routine, no acting out of habit - just me, a guitar, a lousy singing voice and a cassette (oh stop it, you do remember those) recorder, which I used to log my ideas and moments of inspiration. I've even been using a pen and pad (I thought it was just crazy enough to work). Anyway, I'm sure you've figured out by now that this is a complete non-update - and one that appears to make a mockery of the title of this page - but here it is anyway, with all its faults and frailties, asking you to love it for what it is... pointless - but aren't all the best things in life? You have my affection. Chris
